"The Higher Opportunity Promise for Education Act."

2012 House Bill 2486: Concerning tax reform and creating an individual income tax
 Introduced by Rep. Chris Reykdal, (D - Olympia) (D) on January 16, 2012, modifies many definitions in current tax law and creates a personal income tax of 1% for individuals, estates, and trusts, beginning January 1, 2015. This act requires voter approval and will be cited as the Higher Opportunity Promise for Education Act.
Referred to the House Ways & Means Committee on January 16, 2012.
Keep your eyes on this one, folks.  The Democrats, they keep on trying to have a state income tax.
