“The power under the constitution will always be in the people. It is entrusted for certain defined purposes, and for a certain limited period, to representatives of their own choosing; and whenever it is executed contrary to their interest, or not agreeable to their wishes, their servants can and undoubtedly will, be recalled.”

"Forward"

The official slogan for Obama's 2012 re-election campaign.  "Forward"?  No more "Hope and Change"?
Pretty lame, really.  As one columnist put it: "Was “Reply-All” taken?"
UPDATE: Below the fold, some wonderful pokes at the lameness of this, from The Ace Of Spades blog.

Crucifier in the Obama Administration thrown under the bus

A senior EPA administrator publicly admits that the EPA is out to crucify industries and businesses. He has resigned, but as one member of the House says:
"The Obama Administration’s desire to punish job creators goes all the way to the top, and that’s the real issue. Excessive and overly burdensome regulations are hurting our economy and actually killing jobs. If President Obama’s regulators were listening, they’d know that Americans want a healthy economy where hard work is rewarded and everyone has the opportunity to play by reasonable rules and succeed."
Obama must go this year.

UPDATE:  Another blogger adds his two bits, "Obama Throws EPA Moron Under Bus, Bashes Republicans, Panders to Unions".

Constitutionally Ignorant

Secretary of Health Sebelius isn't paying attention to the Constitution, especially when it comes to religious freedom. Indeed, she's quite ignorant of it. In my opinion, deliberately so.  Representative Trey Gowdy (R-SC) does a superb job in demonstrating this:
“So when a state said, ‘You have to send your children to school until a certain age,’ and a religious group objected because they did not want to send their children to school until that certain age, do you know who won?” he asked. “It went to the Supreme Court. ”

The 1970s case, Wisconsin v. Yoder, is considered a landmark in U.S. jurisprudence. Sebelius said she did not know its outcome. “The religious group won,” Gowdy informed her.

Read the whole thing for an understanding on how the Obama Administration views the Constitution: as an obstacle.

I'm happy to report: "No, it's not."

"It’s definitely NOT your Grandma’s Tea Party anymore! Introducing the NEW face of Conservatism… and new PolitiChick, Sonnie Johnson."

Thanks, Jeremy!

Obama Campaigning Falsely

Killing Bin Laden: Like so many others, the final decision to pull the trigger on the world's most-wanted man was delegated to an admiral who undoubtedly would have been thrown under the bus had the mission failed.

It's been almost a year since President Obama's leadership and foreign policy bona fides were allegedly established by the operation that killed Osama bin Laden. A campaign film narrated by Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks tells of the president's alleged solitary, agonizing decision.

With apologies to Vice President Biden, maybe President Obama doesn't carry quite as big a stick as Joe would lead us to believe.
Read the whole thing.  And pass on to your friends.  Obama must go.

Going for broke!

That's Obama's motto, as the Reaganite Republican demonstrates.  A sample:

Indiana is a slave state....

....or so claims the International Union of Operating Engineers:
In a lawsuit against three Indiana government officials, a labor union alleged on Wednesday that its constitutional rights under the Thirteenth Amendment — which outlawed “slavery” and “involuntary servitude” — are violated whenever its members are forced to work alongside nonunion employees.

The International Union of Operating Engineers, whose members work as heavy equipment operators, mechanics and construction surveyors, sued Indiana’s governor, attorney general, and labor commissioner in February, alleging that the state’s “right to work” law is unconstitutional.
The law suit originally invoked the Fourteenth Amendment, but the Thirteenth was added just recently.

And here's a great response to this law suit:
Mackinac Center for Public Policy senior legal analyst Patrick Wright said on Friday that the union’s legal argument “expands the definition of chutzpah.”

“Compulsory membership and coerced dues and fees are the hallmarks of the union movement, yet they claim that giving workers more choice is an act of enslavement.”
Bravo, Mr. Wright, bravo!

Change I can appreciate

President Obama sees steep drop in contributions from major donors.

Obama The Uniter!

Boston Red Sox fans loudly booed President Obama when his 100th birthday message to Fenway Park was played at a game.

And this is in deeply blue Massachusetts.  There's hope yet that Obama will lose this election.

UPDATE:  Hot Air reports on this as well, with more details.

Obama Administration outsources media inquiries

Media Matters -- an organization that I mentioned earlier -- is now being used by the Obama Administration as a media outlet
Katie Dixon, a 'confidential assistant' in the Office of Public Affairs at the Department of Justice, reportedly sent an email to Washington Free Beacon writer C.J. Ciaramella that she had been directed to send him a link to Media Matters for America, which holds weekly "strategy calls" with the White House, in response to an inquiry  regarding the Operation Fast and Furious scandal.
Transparency, indeed.

The. Most. Ethical. Administation. EVAH.

Remember Jon Corzine, ex-governor of New Jersey, who came under investigation by the SEC and FBI for the collapse of his firm, MF Global?

Well, he's bundling for Obama.
Corzine, according to the Obama campaign, has once again helped raise more than $500,000.
The target of an investigation by the Obama Administration is raising money for the Obama Administration.
Obama must go in 2012.

Anti-Christian bias admitted by a liberal organization

Media Matters is a liberal watchdog organization, with ties to the Obama Administration, who came under fire recently for attacking Christian news outlets.

And now this influential organization has applied for a non-profit status from the Internal Revenue Service as a anti-Christian organization.

The Daily Caller (a conservative news organization) obtained a copy of Media Matter's application as a non-profit, tax free organization, 501(c)(3).  In it, Media Matter states:
“Media Matters for America (MMA) believes that news reporting and analysis by the American media, with its eye on profit margin and preservation of the status quo, has become biased,” read the group’s application, obtained by The Daily Caller, “It is common for news and commentary by the press to present viewpoints that tend to overly promote corporate interests, the rights of the wealthy, and a conservative, Christian-influenced ideology.”
So, Media Matters is fighting against businesses, wealthy Americans and conservative Christians.  And wants the support of the Obama Administration to do so.

That is the mindset of the "liberal" agenda: attack a significant portion of the American population for their beliefs and accomplishments.

Are the Democrats abandoning President Obama?

Hmmmmmmm!!  I'd heard that the Democrats were looking for a new Presidential campaign slogan, bit this?
This is for real.  What an inspiring message for supporters of President Obama, coming up on the 2012 election campaign.  Instead of running on his achievements (which is a very short, unimpressive list), they focus on what he's not.  Abandoning the incumbent in all but name is not a sound re-election strategy.  Which is why I'm glad to see them take it.
Hot Air has more thoughts about this.
UPDATE: It was pointed out to me that it's likely that the President will still get a lot of votes, in the "hold your nose" school of thought.  But this message is not likely to pull in new voters, nor is it likely to excite his base.  If nothing else, they are abandoning his "accomplishments".
UPDATE II:  I added the danger quotes, because President Obama has just about zero accomplishments.

BoA Politically Biased?

 From Legal Insurrection:
Sniper rifle manufacturer alleges political bias by Bank of America

McMillan International and its affiliates, based in Arizona, manufacture a variety of rifles and accessories, including highly regarding sniper rifles.

A reader called to my attention a Facebook post by McMillan alleging that Bank of America terminated its lending relationship for political reasons based on McMillan’s involvement with firearms manufacturing.  The post is generating plenty of buzz at gun owner forums and Reddit.
There's more at the link,  including this:
At this point I interrupted him and asked “Can I possibly save you some time so that you don’t waste your breath? What you are going to tell me is that because we are in the firearms manufacturing business you no longer want my business.”

“That is correct” he says
While the Bank of America is free to do business with whom it wishes, the manner in which in this decision was communicated (and no doubt made) is very disturbing, as is the reason for the decision.  Taking this logic, when will Bank Of America shut down any lines of credit for, say, automobile manufacturers, because they don't like cars?

The anti-gun bias is crystal clear, making this an  attack on our Constitutional rights.  When might BoA (or other financial institutions) start pressuring their customers not to use their other rights?

There's more to come on this, I'm sure.

UPDATE:  Consider the fact that the firearms industry  is leading what little economic recovery we have.  In that light, this move by BoA makes even less sense.

"Teaching as a Subversive Activity"

Zombie is an interesting person....of unknown gender and political leaning (although there are hints of a classical liberal), but passionately against socialism and communism.  Zombie attends a lot of liberal meetings and rallies in northern California, and dissects their ramblings with deadly precision.

This one is a must read, especially if you are in or around the educational field.  It gives a good context on just how liberal teachers view the world.  And pretty it's not.

Here's some excerpts:
Last weekend I visited the U.C. Berkeley campus and on a whim attended a lecture with the provocative title "Teaching as a Subversive Activity — Revisited."
[....]
Let it be noted that Professor H. Douglas Brown is no wild-eyed extremist; in fact, he's rather bland and respectable and not the most thrilling of speakers, as you will soon hear. But that's what made his presentation so disturbing: radical and self-admittedly "subversive" attitudes that affect the future of society are discussed with matter-of-fact nonchalance. The main drawback of Professor Brown's verbal style (at least from my point of view) is that he often resorts to the academics' tried-and-true escape hatch, which is to rephrase statements as questions, so as to have plausible deniability if later confronted. Thus, for example, instead of just flatly saying something like "We should indoctrinate students with leftist ideologies," he asks "Should we indoctrinate students with leftist ideologies?" and only after five minutes of talking in circles eventually concludes "Yes."
[....]
I nearly fell out of my chair when he first said that he wished conservatives didn't have freedom of speech, and then practically the very next phrase out of his mouth was that people like him believe in "a culture of open-mindedness." I mean c'mon, does he have any self-awareness? How could someone say that with a straight face? And the audience just laughed, ha ha ha. This only confirms what I have long suspected: That liberals have banished overt conservative thought from many college campuses with "speech codes," and that given half a chance they would implement the same thing society-wide, and feel sanctimonious and justified in doing so.
Read the whole thing.  Especially if you have any contact with the education system.

True or not?

Either way, we need to keep an eye on this.  The report is all too plausible.  I can't comment on the possibility.

Would you believe that Occupy groups are being trained to attend Tea Party rallies and engage in confrontation? Glenn read a shocking report from a 9-12 member who alleges that OWS members are being told to infiltrate and disrupt peaceful gatherings. If it’s true…what are you supposed to do?

While The Blaze and GBTV are working to gather more information and research on accounts like the one below, Glenn felt he should share the information that was sent to him from a Tea Party leader.
Read the whole thing.  With an open mind.

We certainly do have a problem

"Isn't It Ironic?

"Do Democrats really want a fight over transparency?"

Apparently so:
...Six weeks ago, Politico quoted Washington attorney Katherine Meyer, who has worked FOIA [Freedom of Information Act] cases for over 30 years, and her assessment of the Obama administration:
“Obama is the sixth administration that’s been in office since I’ve been doing Freedom of Information Act work. … It’s kind of shocking to me to say this, but of the six, this administration is the worst on FOIA issues. The worst. There’s just no question about it,” said Katherine Meyer, a Washington lawyer who’s been filing FOIA cases since 1978. “This administration is raising one barrier after another. … It’s gotten to the point where I’m stunned — I’m really stunned.”

"Obama's Bloodiest Scandal"

Townhall.com editor and rising star Katie Pavlich debuts her first book today — and it’s a blockbuster.

“Fast and Furious: Barack Obama’s Bloodiest Scandal and the Shameless Cover-Up” targets the corruption, incompetence, obstructionism, lawlessness, and anti-gun radicalism of the Obama White House.

Pavlich supplies readers with damning documents, new scoops, interviews with whistleblowers, and a must-have guide to the biggest stain on the Obama administration.

Democrats actually reject some forms of revenue

Are pigs buzzing your house?

Many states that have tribal casinos have revenue-sharing agreements with the tribes that bring millions into the state’s coffers.

But not Washington. In her first term, Gov. Chris Gregoire struck an agreement with 27 tribes that brings no revenue to the state—in fact she rejected an earlier compact that included revenue sharing. The governor said she was concerned about gambling expanding too quickly.
Read the whole thing here. The Washington State Supreme Court will decide to review a suit against Governor Gregoire on 24 April.

And a personal report from a Walla Walla TEA Party member:
[T]ook a break from work today, yes self employed, and road my bike to the County Courthouse for the Walla Walla TEA Party Rally, "Take Back America", short and sweet presentation to about 150 folks. Keynote speaker Gil Alden gave a inspiring speech about the challenges facing America and the solutions that could bring successful solutions for everyone..... the total program, about 55 minutes of good stuff. I am glad I took the time and effort to attend this event, which encouraged the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights and their importance today in our lives...
It was an excellent rally!  I'll try to have more comments and photos later on.

"Remarkably successful" only on another planet

From Hot Air:
Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner made the Sunday talk-show rounds this morning, but seemed to have a little difficulty in getting his talking points straight. On Meet the Press, David Gregory had to ask Geithner twice whether he’d call the economic policies of the Obama administration a success.  Geithner finally said that they have proven “remarkably successful,” even though nominal unemployment has been above the 8% mark that Barack Obama promised his policies would prevent for 38 straight months, and real unemployment rests somewhere between 11-12%.
Obamanomics have been "remarkably successful" only in that, given President Zero's complete incompetence, we haven't tumbled into The New Zimbabwe.
Do read the whole thing, and note how TurboTax Tim spins on our economic "growth".
UPDATE:  Treasury Secretary Geithner spins so hard and fast that he could turn a multi-megawatt electrical generator:
President Obama’s economic policies “were incredibly effective,” Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said Sunday, crediting the president with having prevented a depression.

Rio + 20

Thanks to one of our members, we have a new category at the Walla Walla Tea Party Patriots web site -- "Rio + 20":
What Is The “Rio + 20 Summit” (June 20-22, 2012 in Rio de Janeiro)?

“Rio + 20 Summit” is a hyped-up version of United Nations Agenda 21, and its long term goal is the same--- to push the world as fast as possible toward sweeping reorder of:
  • Social, economic, and industrial policies
  • Global distribution of food and water supplies
  • Engagement in enormous international financing exercises and new exercises in “global governance”
The Obama administration fully supports and promotes Rio +20 as a festival of global greenness. The apparent aim is to turn “Rio + 20” (a nostalgic reference to the last environmental summit Rio de Janeiro hosted in 1992; the outcome is United Nations Agenda 21) into a festival of global greenness, to create the widest possible sense of participation around the world…this time enhanced on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
Do read the whole thing: the left is not letting go of Agenda 21.

ALEC the new Koch Borthers

Ed Morrissey opens this post with:
Old and busted: Paranoia over the Koch Brothers and their political activism.  New hotness: Paranoia over a lobbying group of other businessmen.  Progressives have launched an attack on the lobbying group ALEC, the American Legislative Exchange Council, a group that does what every other lobbying group does — raise funds and petitions legislators for their agenda, in this case focused on state legislatures.  Although I’ve barely heard of them before, they must be effective, since the Left has made them their newest, bestest bête noire.
The left is working to demonize yet another effective lobbying group that has the audacity to support values not on their agenda.   Unfortunately, it's an effective tactic, and we need to be aware of it, and counteract it where possible.  For example, consider not buying products from corporations that cave to this sort of pressure.

Free Speech Adbridged

Just passed... HR347...

The President signed it in secret.  Protest Prohibited!

Apparently, according to Judge Andrew Napolitano, there are now situations where if you exercise your God given RIGHTS, protected by the First Amendment, you can be jailed for a FELONY*, just for protesting (one of your RIGHTS)…

*Felon = no more voting rights in many cases, really hard to get a job (if not impossible), and will effect nearly every area of your life making it difficult if not unbearable to live.

Here's the bill at the LIBRARY OF CONGRESS for you to read directly.

This abridging of your free speech RIGHT was introduced by Thomas J. Rooney of Florida's 16th District in 2011.

CISPA replaces SOPA

Earlier this year, we had to look at the so-called "Stop On-line Piracy Act" (SOPA), which directly threatened the freedom of the INTERNET.  Now, new legislation, offered to support cybersecurity, appears to be even more invasive and controlling than SOPA.

This new legislation, Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA), is being supported by 100 House members.  I can appreciate the need for cybersecurity, but not if the cure is worse than the disease.

Watch it closely, and contact your Congressional delegations on your concerns.

Obama isn't working

No, he isn't:

Note:  This is a good message, which is why it's being posted.  That it was produced by the Romney campaign does not constitute an endorsement of Romney.  This is about getting Obama. Out. Of. Office.

Three Amigos Summit sounds more like a divorce

Obama has alienated our neighbors -- Mexico and Canada -- to the point that:
"Energy has become a searing rift between the U.S. and Canada and threatens to leave the U.S. without its top energy supplier."
And we'll pay on this debacle for years.  Thanks, Obama.

By the way, you can thank the Lame Stream Media for not reporting this.  Investors Business Daily does a better job at journalism than NBC.

Tired of the same old rhetoric?

Obama ain't.  I guess he loves to hear himself talk.
