“The power under the constitution will always be in the people. It is entrusted for certain defined purposes, and for a certain limited period, to representatives of their own choosing; and whenever it is executed contrary to their interest, or not agreeable to their wishes, their servants can and undoubtedly will, be recalled.”

2013 Walla Walla County Budget Hearing

There will be a public meeting on the 2013 County budget on 30 October2012, at 6 PM, at the Public Health and Legislative Building, 314 West Main Street, in Walla Walla.  The meeting is open to the public.

The topics include the preliminary budget and requests from elected officials and department heads, as well as the process to balance the budget.

Currently, there is a $1.9 million gap between projected revenues and expenditure requests. This is a great place to get some fiscal responsibility in the government. If nothing else, you'll get insight on how the County operates.
