What do Chic-Fil-A and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream have in common?
Both these
national chains have taken a stand on the definition of marriage…but
the chain that stands against the traditional definition of marriage has
not been the target of a national outcry, threats of boycott, attempts
to ban the chain from certain communities and obscene protests.
Of course
it is Ben & Jerry’s that support gay marriage, while Chic-Fil-A has
been targeted by the politically correct elites for their corporate
culture which firmly…and without apology supports the
traditional…Biblical definition of marriage.
Which
group of supporters, the gay rights supporters or those supporting
traditional marriage are acting like mature adults and which is throwing
a temper tantrum and acting like a spoiled teenager?
The gay community’s attempt to win through bullying what they cannot win at the ballot box is shameful and un-American.
Today
conservatives are rallying to support Chic-Fil-A by stopping by their
local franchise and buying a meal. Do your part today and “Eat More
Chickin”.
GUNS AND CRIMINALS
Based on the recent horrific events in CO, are stricter gun control laws the answer?
Gun
control advocates quickly seized on this act of violence as reason to
restrict gun ownership in America. To them the obvious problem is easy
access to guns leads to increased gun violence.
Gun
control advocates rightly point out that law enforcement overwhelmingly
supports a ban on assault weapons. And that is understandable since the
bad guys often shoot at law enforcement using automatic weapons.
If there
was evidence that laws banning automatic weapons would keep them from
the bad guys most people would support such laws. Unfortunately there is
no evidence to support the conclusion that stricter laws would keep
automatic weapons out of the hands of criminals. Switzerland has the
highest per capita gun ownership in the world and almost no gun
violence.
The truth
is this is not about deficient gun laws…but about an abundance of
glorified evil in our culture…we need a change of heart not a change of
laws.
HOW ARE THE RACES SHAPING UP
How are the political races shaping up this November?
It is
still too early to know what the final results may be, but certain
trends are promising for those favoring smaller government and less
debt.
In the
House, the Democrats have stopped talking about retaking the
majority. There is bitter infighting among Democrats about members
contributing funds to the party to help elect new members…incumbents are
so threatened by the political environment that most are hanging onto
their own campaign funds.
The Senate
is a little less clear, the Republicans must add four new seats in
order to unseat Senator Reid as majority leader…and while odds favor a
changing of the guard…it is by no means certain yet.
The race
for the White House is static with both candidates receiving support in
the mid-40’s in the polls. But the incumbent should be winning at this
juncture…and Obama’s outspending Romney 3 to 1 just to stay even.
The forecast? Clouded with chances of big conservative gains this fall.
THE COST OF POLITICAL CORRECTNESS
Anyone
with any common sense opposes the political correctness rampant in are
culture, but is there a tangible cost to political correctness?
When the
President of the United States directs his government to eliminate the
term terrorist and terrorist activities from its vocabulary in favor of
the term “man caused disasters”, to, as they so delicately put it, move
away from the politics of fear…we think how quaint.
But when
this aversion to the truth…this politically correct approach to policy
infiltrates the day to day execution of homeland security
responsibilities, their stupidity has a very real and tangible cost…the
lives of 13 service members at Fort Hood, TX . Which was, by the way,
initially referred to by the Army and the FBI as a case of workplace
violence…not terrorism.
The report
by the independent investigators conclusive states the politically
correct policies of the Army and the FBI allowed Major Hasan to plan and
execute this Jihad on his fellow soldiers. PC is not only
foolishness…it is deadly!
